Our Mission:
This web site will be used to keep our members up to date on special events, membership meeting
dates, and times. Hopefully, updates from activities of our standing committees. If you have something of interest you would
like to share with other members, and have it posted on our website, please contact Lee.
This site will not be a rumor mill, nor will we give our opinions on what is before us in day to day happenings.

"I Am The U.A.W." This new, interactive Web site invites UAW members, friends, family and supporters to submit
their own stories, pictures, podcasts and videos for consideration.
Attention: With all the layoffs happening, it has left a lot of the membership in arrears with their dues. Three things you
must keep in mind. First off, you cannot be issued a withdrawl Card if you are not a member in good standing. Secondly, you
cannot vote in any election, contract agreement, or closure agreement if you are not a member in good standing. And lastly,
you cannot be elected in any position of the Local if you are not a member in good standing!
The company still remains adamant about not paying its employees their previously earned, and rightfully owed, vacation pay
for 2008. But rest assured, we WILL be going to arbitration over it!
Our Next Membership Meeting:
Our July Membership meeting has been canceled due to vacation schedules. They will resume the second Wednesday of August.
The membership meeting location has been changed from the Hillsdale College Dow Center, to the Mitchell Public Library
on Manning street in Hillsdale. The day of the month and times remain the the same.
